This high-end residential developer can offer you the chance to take up an integral role within a growing company, positioned close to the Directors and working towards a leadership role with share options. You will be afforded a good degree of autonomy, which will be complimented by ample training and investment in your development. All projects are prime London, Bucks, Surrey and Oxfordshire.

Person Specification: Quantity Surveyor

• Relevant degree or equivilent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related subject
• Methodical, detailed, strong work ethic
• Experience in residential sector (ideally but not esentially in high-end residential)
• Strong technical skills
• Client facing

​Roles & Responsibilities: Quantity Surveyor

As the QS, you would work closely with the relevant Directors, Contracts Managers and external contract administrator, architect, client and specialist subcontractors. You would be responsible for managing all financial aspects of a project, securing the highest quality and standards, whilst ensuring that each project remains commercially viable. Job role as follows: -

• Assisting the project team in the pricing, recording and accounting for variations across multiple projects
• Responsibility for accuracy of VAT assessments/calculations and long-term secured cashflow documents
• Managing the handover from estimator of financial information
• Agreeing package composition, setting and overseeing buying targets
• Directing the re-bid process/pursue commercial package negotiations
• Producing initial CVR/buying report for each package and prepare relevant documentation
• Leading financial sections for post tender interviews and pre-order meetings
• Carrying out financial checks on subcontractors, agreeing detailed T&Cs and preliminaries set-up cost
• Preparing and maintaining cash flow forecasts, CVRs, progress report financials.
• Report project cash position (to CM), ensuring up to date PQS/client cost report
• Monitor and control materials and sundries purchase, negotiating rates, terms and place orders for major materials packages
• Responsibility for payment schedule, monthly valuations with PQS, monthly valuations with subcontractors and invoice sign off
• Maintaining VO schedule, ensuring prompt agreement with all relevant parties and highlighting risk to project programme
• Responsibility for insurance and renewals, including timely warranty procurement

Salary & Package: Quantity Surveyor

£55,000 – £65,000 per annum, dependant on experience + performance based bonus + Progression to leadership & Share options
