We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team based in the Tyneside region. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in the commercial side of the Construction industry to develop their knowledge whilst working for a reputable, local contractor.

As part of this role the Company will support and fund you through a Day Release Degree Apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying at Northumbria University. You will therefore be required to have/ be on track to gain 120 UCAS points in Level 3 qualifications such as A-Level or have a construction related HNC or HND qualification. Employment for this apprenticeship will be dependent on your gaining the relevant qualifications to attend the above degree course.

This is an excellent opportunity to work towards becoming a qualified Quantity Surveyor. You will be part of a team of experienced Quantity Surveyors and we will support you to gain the necessary skills, experience and qualifications needed to become a successful Quantity Surveyor.

This role is a site based role working closely assisting a Site Surveyor and supporting the commercial function of a construction project.

As well as this we are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines 
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Keen interest in working within the Construction industry
  • Ambition for a career within the commercial function

This is a great opportunity to work towards a professional qualification fully funded by the Company as well as gaining the skills and experience to become a qualified Quantity Surveyor.
