We're delighted to be supporting a well-established and leading consultancy to recruit a Senior to Associate level Building Surveyor into their modern, state of the art offices in Cambridge. This is an opportunity to manage and develop an existing, well established, client base offering a good variety of professional and project work with a focus on working with local Cambridge businesses, landlords and tenants on a predominately traditional building stock portfolio.
Your new role
As the most recent addition to the Building Surveying team, you'll play a key role in helping to manage and develop an impressive network of landlords and tenants across Cambridge. You'll be involved in a range of professional and project work.
You will have the opportunity to manage project manage a range of refurbishment, conversion and new build projects, taking these from feasibility studies through to completion. As the new Senior/Associate Building Surveyor you'll be carrying out Building Surveys of all types for both commercial and residential properties, advising on party wall matters, preparing schedules of dilapidation, schedules of condition and advising client on building defects and potential maintenance requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you'll be a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with relevant experience and a sound knowledge of building surveying, you'll also have knowledge of relevant landlord and tenant legislation. You will have good communication and presentation skills as well as a full driving license as the role may require frequent travel.
