Hays are delighted to be working with one of the leading property consultancies in the UK! There is now a very exciting opportunity for an Estates Surveyor to join the established team. This position would suit a Senior, Associate or Associate Director level surveyor, and there are exciting career progression opportunities available to the successful candidate. Your new role
As the new Estate Surveyor, you will be working within the Occupier Services team. You will be working with a team of 6 surveyors and leading on Estates matters for a variety of exciting and notable clients and managing the Estates Team to ensure delivery and compliance with all contractual services. Your work will be carried across the East of England, but you will be based in the Peterborough office.
This is a client facing role and comes with a high degree of autonomy - perfect for a surveyor looking to progress their career!
Day to day you will be responsible for the identification, negotiation and management of sales of surplus land as well as managing new leases, renewals, surrenders and rent reviews. You will undertake a range of professional works on the portfolios you oversee including both transactional and retained management, valuations, land appraisals and reports, and you will have to prepare and present monthly reports to your clients.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will need knowledge and experience of working on commercial and rural portfolios and working with both landlords & tenants, managing Service Charges, Leases and property management databases. You will need a car and a clean driver's licence.
Ideally you will be a chartered surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.
