Turner Property Recruitment are delighted to be working again alongside a growing SME based in Waterloo who are looking for a Senior/Associate Building Surveyor to join their team ASAP. Having already placed 2 Building Surveyors in the last 6 months - the SME are investing due to a growth in clients/schemes! Remuneration for this role will be up to £75,000 + Bonus! It is key to note that the role will be specification/contract administration heavy mainly in the Residential sector but they do have a Commercial arm too!

Responsibilities

• The role will include acting as lead surveyor with the following project commissions:

o Contract administration duties (Project values up to £35,000,000.00+VAT);

o Planned maintenance surveys;

o Condition surveys;

o Defect investigation and diagnosis;

o Licence for Alterations;

o Party Wall matters;

o Pre-Acquisition Surveys;

o Project Management;

o Reinstatement Cost Assessments (For Insurance Purposes);

o Assisting with the development of new and repeat business where possible;

o Managing the client relationship and service delivery on a project by project basis in conjunction with senior colleagues;

 

Employee Requirements

• Chartered Building Surveyor (with at least six months post qualification experience);

• Experience in a wide range of Building Surveying services; (Residential experience would be advantageous

but not essential);

• Ability to work on own initiative and manage a wide range of commissions;

• Ability to achieve pre-set fee targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis;

• Desire to develop a career within a consultancy environment;

• Management of the surveying team members and clients as the role develops;

• Developing new client relationships;

• Good team working skills and ability to communicate well at all levels;

• Current full, clean driving licence is advantageous but not essential;

• Prepared to travel as required;

• Must have proficient IT skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) as a minimum. APA Utilise Monday.com as a project management software system and full training will be provided. Knowledge of CAD systems would be an advantage although not essential;

• Sound knowledge of construction and basic knowledge of building services;

• Maintaining continuing professional development (CPD) in accordance with RICS requirements;

• Assisting Graduate and Assistant Building Surveyors with their APC;

• Effective problem-solving skills;

• Ability to present well with good literacy and numeracy skills;

• Experience of managing clients and their expectations;

• Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements;

 

Remuneration & Package:

• Salary:

o Up to £75,000.00 (gross) per annum depending upon experience + Bonus
