Purpose of the job


The Estates Surveyor is responsible for delivering a range of estate management case work for the Corporate Estate.



Principal responsibilities


  • To assist with the day to day estates management of the Council's property portfolio including but not limited to rent reviews, lease renewals, licences, assignment and subletting, wayleaves and easements, and other general estate management services as directed.
  • To complete delegated authority forms and provide recommendation reports for approval by management
  • To assist with the annual asset valuation programme by gathering and supplying information for valuers, site visits, photos measurements and other valuation related work to support the team in the work programme.
  • Tenant liaison including site inspections, taking photos and measurements as necessary.
  • To prepare Reports for the Corporate Asset Manager in relation to the council's forward plan and CLT meetings.

  • Special features of the post


  • Ideally a Member of RICS with at least three years senior surveying experience in the public sector.

  • 2. The postholder must hold a full current UK driving license or equivalent
