National Head of Building Surveying

About the role and about You 
This is a key role for our client who have robust growth plans for the Building Surveying Team over the next 3 years. Your attitude and mindset will be a key driver in this process, we are looking for someone who is confident and optimistic, with a clear vision of how to develop both the service line and the team.

With teams in Manchester, Birmingham and London you will ideally be located in the Midlands as these will be the key areas for development, with regular visits to London to support the team there too. They cover a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial and retail, healthcare, leisure and tourism, education and industrial. The team are responsible for providing reasoned and robust technical advice to clients, undertaking a variety of building surveys and inspections for commercial and public sector clients, assisting with defect analysis inspections and building pathology, feasibility studies, preparation and review specifications of works, prepare tender and contract documents, primarily JCT and some NEC forms, party wall, dilapidations as well as project management up to around a value of £5m.

As the National Director of Building Surveying you will be leading multiple surveyors and be a part of the senior management team. Not only a confident leader of people, you will provide consultancy advice to an extensive portfolio of clients, contributing towards the success of the team through the effective delivery of projects, whilst developing existing and new key client relationships.
