Built Estate Manager - RNAS Culdrose

Your new company
HAYS are delighted to be working with a leading provider of infrastructure, and facilities maintenance, contracted to the MOD to source a Core Service Delivery Manager, to join their highly proactive team on a permanent basis. Situated at the Royal Naval Air Station, Culdrose (RNAS), the base is currently used for helicopter pilot training, equipped with a small arms range and aircraft fire fighting facilities. It remains, one the of the largest helicopter bases in Europe, spanning an impressive 1500 acres with 3000 personnel on site.

You will be at the coal face of an active airbase and play a critical part in ensuring minor works are delivered as efficiently as possible, ensuring minimal disruptions to the airbase' day-to-day operations.


Your new role
As a Built Estate Manager you will oversee the delivery of planned & reactive maintenance on the airbase, supporting proving optimal solutions for any minor works issues. Utilising your awareness / competence, you will ensure all inspections and certification are up to date, raising & prioritising any remedial works.

As the Built Estate Manager you will be responsible for the managing of reactive and programmed property maintenance, and operate as an immediate escalation point for significant operational and delivery issues at site level. You will have the responsibility of deputising for the Area Manager when absent or assisting other sites.


What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful Built Estate Manager, you will have an HNC or equivalent in a Building / Civil Engineering or Electrical / Mechanical Engineering. From your previous experience, possess good technical competencies / awareness of Asbestos & Legionella, Fire Safety and general asset management. You will be an excellent communicator, and methodical in your approach as you will embrace the logistical challenges of working within a prestigious Air Base.
