A great opportunity has arisen for a candidate looking to develop and grow their career with a leading global property consultancy based ideally in Birmingham.

This team work with a single institutional client with the mandate for managing their entire investment portfolio UK wide, specialising in adding value to investment opportunities for long income pensions this client utilising market intel and hands-on asset management to drive capital and rental growth.

The team provide a professional and market leading property management service to maintain the value and work as a close and supportive unit.

The portfolio is spread across a number of different sectors and asset classes, with a particular focus on Industrial and offices, mainly in the Midlands regions.

You will have an opportunity to work almost like an in-house property and asset management function.

This will mean running the day to day property management and service charge services for the client.

We are looking for a RICS Chartered Surveyor with property management experience (at least 2 years plus experience). If you are currently employed at a private practice as a Management Surveyor at Senior Surveyor, or Associate Director level, or above we would like to hear from you.

The role

Do you enjoy commercial property management but seek more strategy and client relationship building? Do you have great ideas regarding property management but don't have the a deep enough client relationship to offer the solutions and instigate the discussion?

With my client you will have the opportunity to play an influential role and potentially make a real difference to managing assets owned by the fund. You won't feel like a number, you get to make a difference and impact for the very first day.

The successful candidate will assist, oversee and manage mainly office and industrial properties within a Midlands portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director and working closely with the national property management team the role will include:

  • Building strong relationships with tenants, suppliers and the wider team.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the portfolio of properties.
  • Implement and develop service charge strategies to ensure lease compliance and maximum recoverability.
  • Preparation of end of year service charge expenditure statements together with the preparation of explanatory notes to be issued to tenants.

Preferable MRICS qualified, ideally with a minimum 2+ years' post qualified experience within the commercial property management sector.

Successful Property Manager's will possess strong communications and organisation skills and the ability to use property management software.

The package and benefits

£45,000 - £55,000 + car allowance (£4,000-£5,000) + benefits + bonus


Benefits include: 25 days + annual leave, pension, private medical cover, life assurance, discretionary bonus.
