Beach Baker is delighted to be instructed by a leading commercial property consultancy which is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for the South West region.

Reporting to the Regional Facilities Manager you will be responsible for a large portfolio of mixed use properties mainly office, industrial and retail. This exciting role is part of a growth plan as a result of recent additional acquisitions by clients.

We are delighted to be marketing a newly created role which genuinely offers the successful candidate a broad opportunity and direct influence over the direction of facilities services for properties under management.

Key responsibilities;

• Day to day operational management
• Assist with the preparation of service charge budgets
• Management of onsite contractors
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation
• Tenant liaison
• Ensure best practice across all sites
• Assist with procurement of contractors
• Oversee minor works projects
• Assist with business development

The candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working as an FM for a property consultancy / management agent, or could be from a residential/block management role, or stepping up from Building Management.

If successful, the role would see you working within a thriving commercial property management division based out of the Bristol office. This is a great opportunity for an individual making personal development a priority at this stage in their career.

You will get the chance to manage a medium sized portfolio of properties (8-10 likely) covering the core main asset classes of offices, retail and industrial units. The portfolio is spread across a geographic portfolio covering Bristol, Gloucester and South Wales, so the ability to travel and visit site will be essential.

Some understanding of commercial services charge budgets is essential as is the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. In return, our client will offer you a competitive salary and fantastic career opportunities.

The package and benefits

£26,000 - £32,000 + car allowance + benefits + bonus (depending on experience)
