Asset Planning Manager
Salary: Scale PO14-17, SCP 40-43, £46,549 - £49,590 per annum, 37 hours per week, permanent contract type

The Corporate Asset and Facilities Management Team (CAFM) is responsible for looking after the Council’s corporate property portfolio. The Asset Management Team is responsible for developing and delivering the Council’s asset management strategy and dealing with the day to day management of the portfolio.
This is a key role that will be responsible for developing and leading the Council’s asset management strategy.
Key activities include:
- leading and managing the Council’s asset portfolio to ensure that it is cost effective and makes an effective contribution to the Council’s wider aspirations for regeneration, economic growth and modern service delivery,
- creating innovative ways to maximise the revenue from existing assets whilst developing and delivering a future strategy for the Council’s property portfolio,
- leading on the delivery of Asset Management Reviews and projects to provide a fit for purpose asset portfolio, and
- leading on the Council’s Community Management of Assets Policy and Process.
The successful candidate will have a degree level qualification in a relevant subject or be able to demonstrate relevant recent experience in a similarly demanding role. Have experience of working within an asset management environment. Have strong customer focus to promote the service positively and proactively. You will be expected to work with partners, stakeholders, internal and external clients, have excellent management skills and be able to motivate staff and introduce and support new and innovative ways of working.
