Job Details

Bidwells. It’s a name that exudes property excellence, and decades of success in their field.

Reliable and consistent – two words that mean a lot in these uncertain times.

So, when a platform as sturdy and resilient as this is also offering up an opportunity to carve your own mark into the business, it truly makes for a perfect storm.

Bidwells are looking for an Associate Town Planner to spearhead the monumental projected growth of its Oxford region.

This kind of opening doesn’t come around often, with most Planners of this level having been organically promoted internally within the business – but following a recent merge with Turnberry Planning, Chris Pattison, Head of Planning, is looking to bring in a bright and determined Associate to drive forward the Oxford Planning teams’ business.

Bidwells have incredibly big plans for their Oxford region, and through the acquisition of Turnberry and other areas of investment, have put the wheels in motion to get Oxford scaled up to their ‘second city’, following their Cambridge HQ.

The role is yours to run with. With opportunity to get involved and have an influence on the region’s 5 year business plan of the office, you will in turn be rewarded for this input.

Your work would see a strong residential focus, their core market is serving both of Oxford’s world class universities, key global technology players, endowments of university land from Oxford colleges and strategic projects on a wider-scale basis. This is a real opportunity to expand your skill set in a range of sectors.

With clients ranging from century-old universities to tech developers your role will be to act as a key figure in the team, guiding junior Planners and acting as a pivotal driver in projects.

You’d be based within their Oxford office, on the 9th floor of a commercial tower, and having been there recently to meet the team – I’ve seen first-hand the truly breath-taking panoramic views of Oxford’s countryside, and its quaint city skyline.

With an engaging workload, as well as an incredible package on offer, this job really has it all.

Let’s be honest, you didn’t get into Planning for an easy ride. It’s really not a profession where you can sit back and cruise through. But it’s easy to fall into a repetitive trap, where perhaps you aren’t as challenged as you’d like to be.

So, If a clear pathway to partnership is something you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We would like to attract talent from all corners of the Property world for this role. Our commitment is to an equitable recruitment process so feel free to apply in any way that suits you, via WhatsApp, video message, CV, the more creative the better.
