The Role: My client is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager within their London building consultancy teams. You will need to be experienced in pre and post contract Project Management and Contract Administration, Employers Agent roles and duties across the Education sector and be capable of managing projects.

The award-winning consultancy provide a wide range of services including building consultancy, highways and infrastructure and traffic engineering for private and public clients.

The Client:

Five Offices: Central London, Bristol, Devon.

Head Count: 146.

Services: Project Management, Construction Management, Principle Designer, Project Recovery, Development Management, Programme Management, Strategic Consulting, Value Management, Design Management, Employers Agent, Contract Administrator, Management Consultancy, and Due Diligence.

Current Sectors: Residential, Retail, Education and Commercial.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience for the Senior Project Manager

Have proven Project Management experience in the education sector, with DfE Framework experience, acting as CA/EABe proficient in MS software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ProjectHold a practical construction knowledgeBe able to work unsupervisedHave commercial awarenessBe able to resolve disputes

Role of the Senior Project Manager:

Prepare, chair and minute project meetings for record and distributionProduce suitable project cost reports, progress reports and ad hoc updateSupport the client and other consultants through practical guidance and adviceSupport in setting up, managing and monitoring governance and decision making forumEffectively manage resource and outputs of multi-disciplined consultant teams to agreed timescales and qualityBe able to challenge technical aspects of construction design and be aware of relevant building standardsProduce project programmes, monitor progress of the same and interrogate construction programmesIdentify, mitigate and manage risk across all aspects of allocated projectsCompile and issue tenders for consultants and contractors and prepare contract documentsAct as Contract Administrator / Employer's Agent and effectively administer building contractsCarry out site inspections and produce reports on workManage post-contract variations and value of change ordersLead on the financial and commercial management of allocated projectsIdentify and exploit business development opportunities
