Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior or Chartered Building Surveyor for our Leeds Office to service projects in Leeds and the North. Due to continued success in securing projects throughout Leeds and the surrounding regions, we're looking for a Chartered or Senior Building Surveyor, (They would support with gaining chartership) with a strong focus in both the Private & Public Sectors, to join our highly successful team in based in Leeds Office.
Our projects range in value from £8m to £50m+ and are with a variety of high-profile clients in the commercial, infrastructure and public sector giving our Building Surveyors a diverse and exciting workload. Responsibilities:

Working across a number of projects in different sectors and providing a range of building surveying / PM duties.
Assisting with the development of new and repeat business.
Managing client relationship and service delivery on a project by project basis in conjunction with senior colleagues.
Supporting practice management in the day to day running of the business.
- PM and contract administration duties for larger projects
- Condition and measured surveys
- Design and implementing small - medium sized projects
- The use and application of standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT & NEC
keeping abreast of industry issues and developments in best practice
Defect analysis, undertaking building surveys and producing reports
Mentoring and training more junior building surveyors with participation in the APC program
Reporting to manager
networking to develop local presence and business opportunities
take the lead in developing and issuing bids in line with company governance
Undertake role of principle design in accordance with company requirements

Requirements:

BSc (hons) Building Surveying - RICS or similar accredited degree
MRICS - or working towards
Ability to demonstrate good all round surveying experience and be client facing with work winning skills
Experience of pre and post contract management responsibilities
Good AutoCAD skills as a minimum experience of using Revit would be an advantage
Awareness of BIM
Client management
Full understanding of CDM regs and H & S
