Are you an experienced Maintenance Surveyor, looking for a fantastic new role with a great employer?  Then join us and bring your expertise to provide technical advice and improve the quality standards of our responsive and voids properties across the East Coast of Yorkshire.  And we really are great, 5th best place to work in the UK in fact!

This is a brilliant opportunity for you to make your mark, delivering a high quality and caring maintenance service to our customers, utilising customer insight to maximise their experience and supporting us to deliver on our customer promise.  You’ll lead the day-to-day management of our responsive and voids maintenance activity, including day to day contract management and completing pre/post inspections  and building works schedules.

Oh, did we mention that we’re also 9th for “Best Super Large organisations for Wellbeing, in Stonewall’s Top 100 employers and we grow our own colleagues (not literally of course!).  But when you are ready for the next step in your career or just want to be even more brilliant at what you do, you can grow with us!

What you’ll bring

  • A relevant technical qualification (or working towards) such as RICS or CIOB accredited degree level qualification or equivalent.
  • Experienced Surveyor and able to manage and control budgets and expenditure.
  • Able to work unsupervised covering your geographical area with strong skills in prioritising workload to meet deadlines.
  • You will be able to drive and have access to a vehicle that you can use for work.  We’ll pay your car mileage and car insurance
  • It will be brilliant if you have previous experience of contract management and working with external partners.

Work is a thing you do not a place you go

This is a hybrid role, so you’ll shape your own diary working from home, our office in Leeds and time on the road inspecting properties, checking progress and standards covering the East Coast of Yorkshire mainly Whitby, Scarborough, Hull and surrounding areas.

It’s our unwritten rule that you also attend the important moments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi or Me day to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

What you’ll get

  • 33 days annual leave rising to 38 days (inc bank holidays) with the option to buy 5 more
  • Generous pension scheme with life insurance (3x salary)
  • Flexible working (to suit business needs)
  • Great training and development opportunities to grow with us
