HAYS are proud be working in partnership once again with a reputable local governing authority within the Southwest seeking a Waste & Environmental Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. Surrounded within idyllic landscapes and nearby beaches that encompass the region, where you'll join newly formed compliance team. Your new role
As a Waste & Environmental Manager, you will report direct to the Head of Building Safety providing waste management ensuring projects are managed, maintained, and developed and environmental performance information is recorded, reported, and actioned in a way that drives continual improvement and efficiencies. You will undertake site visits, carrying out inspections and assessments as well as act as the main point of contact for all environmental sustainability matters utilising your ability to manage stakeholders, contractors, and regulators.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will ideally have a degree in Environmental Management or a relation discipline, a 'Practitioner' membership of IEMA, a good working knowledge of planning legislation and regulation.
