Job Details

Following a successful year in 2022. 2023 brings a plethora of opportunities for our client who is seeking a building surveyor to join in London.

Our client is a medium-large size consultancy employing 800+ staff across the UK. They have 12 offices and work with a mix of public and private sector clients providing the full range of building consultancy services, including building surveying, cost management, project management health and safety, and architecture to name a few.

About the role

Working from their London Bridge office, with the opportunity to work from home. You will play a vital role within a small but very effective and organized team that provides project and professional services through the commercial, residential, education, and healthcare.

You will assist/lead projects up to £3m acting as project manager or contract administrator. These projects will include new builds and major refurbishments within the sectors mentioned above. Other day-to-day duties include:

  • Dealing with claims and negotiations, planning application advice. Building pathology, design & specification, building surveys, technical due diligence. Producing reports to clients and chairing meetings.

About you

The business is looking for an experienced building surveyor who has previously worked for a consultancy or private practice. MRICS is not a necessity, however beneficial. You will have experience in project and professional services and can display strong construction knowledge. You will be client-facing, a team player and passionate about the job and work you provide.
