The Role:

As a Leasehold Valuer you will have a diverse role dealing with all valuations resulting from tenants who want to become leaseholders and all after sale valuations, such as for lease extensions and purchases of additional space, i.e. lofts or storage rooms.

You will get an opportunity to engage with local Councillors and other stakeholders within your role facilitating property-based transactions to achieve the wider aims and objectives of the Council.

Excellent negotiation skills are required to always achieve the best value for the Council when agreeing final settlements with applicants.

This role would best suit a surveyor who is looking for a part time role working three to four days a week, but flexible to increase days when required.

About You:

You will have full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or overseas equivalent e.g. Australian or New Zealand Institute of Valuers. 

Specialist knowledge of property and property processes are essential.

You will have a sound knowledge of asset valuations and social housing stock valuations for Right to Buy applications and lease extensions.
