Join us as a Graduate Surveyor and enjoy exposure to a wide variety of industries, clients and projects. We design with people in mind. And we’ve designed our graduate opportunities to provide you with unique experiences as you play your part in all kinds of challenging projects. This includes adding value to our clients’ construction journey through expert cost advice and construction technical knowledge, providing clients with strategic cost advice at project conception, or providing party wall, dilapidations and technical due diligence services. And while you're shaping a safer, happier, more sustainable world, we’ll support you to achieve Chartered status.

As a Graduate Building Surveyor within Atkins Infrastructure business, you’ll have the joint benefit of working in a specialist Building Surveying team and also as part of a wider multi-disciplinary environment to deliver a full suite of Building Surveying services. We offer unique and extremely varied work with a large number of high-profile public and private sector clients. This blend of work and along with our in-house property professionals will allow you develop and expand in your role and ultimately help you gain your Chartership with the RICS.

We understand the APC and have a proven track record in mentoring our candidates through their structured training programme to achieve their goal of Chartership.  We provide a supportive environment to our candidates and provide Continued Professional Development that exceeds the RICS requirements.  You’ll gain real experience once you’ve completed your structured induction.

The Atkins Building Surveyor is recognised as being ‘a cut above the rest’, and we give the unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects from inception all the way through to completion seeing through the complete project life cycle interspersed with the provision of professional services ranging from condition surveys, pre-acquisition surveys, party wall work, building pathology and much more. 

Key activities will begin with you supporting senior building surveyors and which forms part of our mentoring programme, and within a short time frame you’ll be:

•  Delivering building surveying services, such as condition surveys, party wall advice, and pre and post construction services for projects for such as refurbishments, renovations, extensions and planned works

• Providing studies and reports for our clients e.g. feasibility studies, costing advice, defect diagnosis, legal regulatory advice related to property matters

• Supporting the low cardon and Net Zero schemes

Meeting your needs
