Work with us as a Project Controls Manager within our Nuclear team and play a central role in shaping projects across the UK. You'll manage the evaluation of project time, cost and quality targets, communicating and monitoring project governance controls to deliver innovative, sustainable Client Programmes. These positions cover projects in the South West, South East and North West Region.

Your Purpose:

  • Work closely with the Lead Project Controls Manager and/or Head of Project controls to improve/sustain operating policies, procedures and processes, ensuring their proper application within the Project Controls team when conducting risk, planning and cost management activities.
  • Manage the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB)and support the project on the monthly collation of performance data related to time, cost, risk and quality.
  • Support the setting of progress methodology and timely submission of project actuals with the contractor, and the production of Earned Value(EV) reports for monthly business reviews.
  • Manage the execution of the Change management process on the project as mandated by governance.
  • Support the necessary project level change forums, escalating change papers that require additional approvals and ensuring all decisions are enacted within the change control system and toolsets.
  • Manage Project Controls processes and systems, ensuring all audit trails are correctly maintained, accurate, up to date with supporting documentation following the client's document management protocols.
  • Manage the coordination and communication of the periodic reporting cycle, ensuring correlation to the phase's executive reporting lifecycle.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of monthly performance reports, taking ownership for its quality and robustness, to enable prompt decision making, approvals and financial authorisations.
  • Lead a small team: setting individuals' objectives, reviewing performance, providing ongoing formal and informal feedback, and ensuring all staff know what they need to achieve and how they're performing against their objectives.
  • Undertake self-assessment of procedural compliance and share lessons learned and best practice within the Project Controls community.

What you can bring?

  • Experience within a Project Control, Reporting, or Project Management role on infrastructure or construction projects. Preferably with a formal professional Project Management or Controls qualification.
  • Competent in EVM processes and their application on projects, possessing a good understanding of schedule, cost, risk, change management activities and reporting.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and information flow in a matrix environment and work across business areas, providing specialist advice as required.
  • Possessing strong attention to detail and the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) in all your work, supporting and complying with all organisational initiatives, policies, and procedures on ED&I.
