Based London with regular travel overseas

You’ve got great written and verbal communication skills. You’re a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a wealth of post-qualification experience. And you’re a fountain of knowledge when it comes to technical and health and safety legislation. So, have you ever considered taking your career to a global level?

As a trusted government partner, FCDO Services work on a variety of projects that help protect the UK’s interests around the world. We design and construct secure government buildings. We help earthquake-proof embassies. We keep complex projects on track, and on budget. We use our experience and capabilities to develop proof of concepts, run specialist projects, provide secure hosting environments and more.

As a Quantity Surveyor at FCDO Services, you’ll be part of a highly skilled surveying team working on iconic and unique buildings all over the world.

Bring your expertise to all corners of the globe

As a senior professional within the quantity surveying team, you’ll be responsible for providing high-quality cost management and contract administration advice. The projects will range in value from £250k to £10m and utilise the NEC suite of contracts. It’s a role where no two days are ever same, and where you’ll be regularly presented with unique and challenging situations to develop your skills. Based in London and typically working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll be required to travel alone to other parts of the world, working autonomously and making decisions on your own initiative. Throughout, you’ll be doing everything you can to solve problems, capture and define customer goals, and ensure each project meets its end objectives.

Take your quantity surveying skills to the next level

We’re looking for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS or FRICS) with significant post-qualification experience and a proven track record of leading on cost management for design and construction teams. Strong communication and people skills are important, as you’ll be engaging regularly with customers, stakeholders and end users, as well as other professionals within your team. You’ll also need some experience of design software including AutoCAD and REVIT.
