Temporary Job for a Space Manager for NHS . FM or Surveying background
The Role
The post holder will provide the lead in developing commissioning property and space requirements for tenders and supporting the development of space costing and specifications.
The post holder will be key in space related cost reduction (up to £20m over a five year period), will support the Property Manager and the Trust in the strategic management of the Trust's estate and on all space occupancy and cost of space matters for the Trust's portfolio.
The Post holder will lead on all matters relating to the total occupancy and utilisation of space within the Trust's portfolio and liaise with each organisation to ensure effective use of space.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Trust's portfolio ,estate strategy and investment plans directed through commissioning strategies and reflected within the service strategies, divisional service delivery initiatives, integrated business plans
The post holder's role in delivering property and accommodation solutions will also be an integral element of implementing local policy
Job Duties
Supporting the Property Manager in the property disposal programmes advising on space use and partner Trust space requirements.
Maximising the use of space across the Trust's portfolio and across the LLR Health economy.
Advising on the operational data requirements for the implementation of the Service Line reporting model for all divisions within the Trust and liaison with the relevant software and data controllers.
Organisation, management and maintenance of up to date and 'live' space management data.
Liaising with the Property Team in setting up appropriate legal occupation agreements in relation to occupations and relocations of teams across the Trusts.
Managing the decommissioning of space requirements where providers reduce services or service requirements.
To assist the Property Team in the further development of the CAFM/MICAD database to hold and analyse all 6 Facet Survey data for all Trusts and to hold all other appropriate property information.
To proactively lead, and advise on the space utilisation facet and functional suitability facet of the 6 facet estate performance data
About you
The post holder will be a senior professional member of professional organisations e.g. (British Institute of Facilities Management, BIFM - Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, RICS) to sustain an awareness of developments in the field of accommodation, facilities and space management, using the knowledge gained to improve and enhance the delivery of services to Clients Organisations.
The post holder will be required to regularly use a wide range of computer software to develop and create reports, documents , drawings together with a variety of presentation it software & techniques including the use of MICAD, AutoCAD, Microsoft PowerPoint and The Microsoft Office Suite.
You will have experience of policy implementation and development Writing, revising, and recommending on Space policy that impacts across both the post holders area and other areas
Be able to Work autonomously to plan and develop space changes and delivering change
Evidence of managing substantial, property related, budgets
Experience in managing large complex programmes of work
Experience of managing a team
Experience of involving stakeholders in all aspects of project design, approval and delivery
Appropriate degree or relevant space management experience.
Evidence of formal/informal management training
IT skills in the use of the Microsoft office suite, MICAD and CAD
A relevant professional qualification (CBIFM, MRICS)
Space management software
