You'll be joining a small and close banded team that each has areas of specialisms, this will be your chance to take a real lead on all planning activities, whilst having all the resources to ensure the greatest chance of success, including dedicated designers and developers.

The Role:

Due to growth and expansion, our client is seeking an experienced Town Planner to join the team of planning experts, where your position will be heavily focused on quality and unique schemes. Duties will include:

  • Providing planning policy and legislation advice.
  • Manage a range of planning applications.
  • Select and project manage a range of consultants throughout the planning process, including managing appeals when necessary.
  • Provide and support planning assistance to the land and design teams.
  • Manage stakeholder and community engagement on all planning applications.
  • Identifying new land opportunities in the South West for planning promotion.

Essential criteria

  • RTPI accredited degree.
  • A minimum of 6 years UK based town planning experience.
  • A solid understanding of the local and national planning system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A passion for working on unique and quality driven schemes.

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience of Strategic Land Promotion.
  • Experience in House Building Organisations.
