Quantity Surveyor Up To AD Level (PQS)

Peace Recruitment is recruiting for one of our multi-disciplinary consultancies, x3 Quantity Surveyors up to Associate level for both Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. 

Due to continued growth and pipeline of work confirmed for 2023, they have an exciting time in their business and looking for top talent to join their business. Our client is well-known for their reputation, excellent diverse range in projects in both public and private sectors and more commonly known for their retention of staff. You can expect to work on Education, Healthcare, Commercial/Office, Retail, Hospitality and Residential projects, ranging in value from £1.5m to £60m+.

Responsibilities include: 

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients
• Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
• Working as a proactive team player
• Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other colleagues to ensure efficient financial control
• Undertaking commercial management services
• Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
• Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in the cost management of projects
• Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships

Requirements include:

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or working towards
• Technical delivery experience gained within a construction consultancy
• Pre- and post-contract experience
• Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
• Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
• A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible

In return:

• Salary for QS Level not MRICS up £45,000, MRICS to Associate level up to £65,000 DOE
