The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Planner to join our growing Property Development team.

As Operations Planner you’ll be responsible for a portfolio of building and maintenance services relating to the development and running of a large-scale retail estate of circa 700 sites ensuring these services are delivered to a standard of excellence.

Day-to-day, you will lead projects from start to end, from assisting with the business case and project set up, through supplier selection, to delivery and handover to ‘Business as usual’, including post-project benefits measurements, and post implementation review.

You'll understand and report on building and maintenance lead activity in an effective way, both at a strategic and operational level, in order to set annual budgets and allocate resource appropriately.

Playing a key role in the Property Development team, you'll help to assess performance and progress against organisational plans, assessing the impact they are having and helping to improve our overall performance.

Working on several projects concurrently, you will work collaboratively across Retail, Property & Estates, Finance and other business partners from the wider organisation in order to sustain a smooth and productive retail function.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our Claygate, Surrey & London office.

Excited by the role, but not sure you tick every box? You may need a little more help balancing your work and home life, so please feel free to explore the flexibility you may need with us at the application or interview stage.

About you

As our ideal candidate you’ll have a proven track record of delivering successful end-to-end building and maintenance related projects, preferably in a retail environment. You will have extensive knowledge of agile concepts and methodologies and/ or a Project Management qualification in one or both of PRINCE2 or Agile.

You will have strong analytical skills and experience using MS Office tools in order to produce standard project documentation, budgets and reports.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are vital as you’ll manage several projects involving a high degree of internal and external stakeholder involvement.

You will be innovative and resilient as you drive significant change and progress within the business.
