Job Details

Land and Planning Manager/Estates Surveyor

Wetherby, West Yorkshire

Hanson is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of construction materials.

We are committed to fulfilling our role in meeting the UK government's ambitions and our parent company, Heidelberg Materials Group, has signed the Business Ambition for 1.5ºC Commitment and joined the UN's Race to Zero campaign.  Our route to decarbonisation has been ongoing for many years and we have made significant headway. We have a roadmap in place, which includes important areas that will help us achieve net zero.

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic chartered surveyor or equivalent to join our multidisciplinary land and mineral resources department – either as a land and planning manager or as an estates surveyor.

The successful candidate will provide a professional service for land, mineral, property and planning matters across our business lines – aggregates including marine, concrete, asphalt and contracting, and cement. You will take a leading role in planning and development projects, giving expert specialist property and planning advice to senior management, as well as managing property and mineral assets within a designated area.

Applications will be considered from within the minerals sector as well as from those with a waste, industrial or energy sector planning/estates management background. Ideally, you’ll have five years’ experience to join at land and planning manager level, or two to join as an estates surveyor.

We offer a competitive salary, with 27 days holiday, company pension scheme, plus excellent training, and development opportunities.

Closing date for applications: March 31, 2023

We are an equal opportunities employer. Please ensure you are legally able to work in the UK before applying for this role.
