HAYS are proud to partner with a highly reputable provider of higher education based in the heart of Plymouth in appointing a Deputy Electrical Systems Manager (AP), to join the team on a permanent basis. Your new role
As a new Deputy Electrical Systems Manager, you will sit within the Estates Hard Services team within maintenance & operations. Working within a friendly and collaborative team, you will take ownership in overseeing the design, installation, operation, and repair of electrical systems across the main campuses.

With the support of the Electrical Systems Manager and the wider team, you will have a good exposure to major construction project designs as well as an influence on key decision making crucial to the smooth operation of the campus.

This position offers excellent personal development, with an opportunity to progress into an Electrical Safety Manager as a succession plan, alternatively, there is a pathway to be more involved in M&E Installs, new builds, refurbishments, therein presenting an opportunity to go down project management or senior management


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate previous experience within an electrical discipline and a good working up-to-date knowledge of electrical safety regulations. You will have a track record in managing electrical system installations and maintenance.

• Electrical Qualification (eg NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
• Electrical regulation training (eg 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and thrive to work collaboratively.
