Rural Surveyor - Devon
Beach Baker is delighted to be working in partnership with Clinton Devon Estates to recruit a rural Surveyor to be based in their South East Devon office.
This role is a unique opportunity to work with a progressive land management and property business, with a proud history, based across 10,000 hectares in Devon
Looking to the future
Clinton Devon Estates' 2030 Strategy reflects their leadership and influence across critical agendas facing the country and communities: climate adaptation, agricultural transition, woodland management, environmental stewardship, energy and property management.
From 2023 they are restructuring their business to reflect their strategic ambitions, including the core themes of Land Use and Investment, and are looking to recruit a rural surveyor to reinforce their existing excellent and high performing team.
The Position
Reporting to the Head of Agriculture, you will lead on building strong relationships with the Estate's tenants and share farmers, managing their farming relationships during the most significant shift in agricultural policy in England for over a generation.
You will work alongside other surveyors in managing all aspects of their diverse property
portfolio, which includes, commercial, residential, sporting and green energy. You will be involved in developing, leading or supporting existing and future development projects, critical to the delivery of their 2030 Strategy.
The Candidate
You are likely to have the following attributes:
- Qualified chartered surveyor with at least 2 years' PQE and preferably CAAV qualified.
- Estate/asset management and landlord and tenant experience essential.
A working knowledge of agricultural legislation, grants and stewardship agreements. - Development, planning, and valuation experience is desirable.
- Competent IT skills required, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, mapping and property management systems.
