M&E Quantity Surveyor

THE ROLE

I am seeking an MEP Quantity Surveyor to join my client, a firm of PQS in the OSLO, NORWAY.

You will work closely with other QSs and the client on a range of complex data centre projects for new build and fitting out.

There will also be other interesting construction projects.

You should have excellent experience of mechanical and electrical engineering services working as a Quantity Surveyor in particular good cost estimating experience.

This role will suit someone who wants a new challenge abroad as an M&E Quantity Surveyor.

My client can only take candidates from the EU with an EU passport / visa.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful and friendly firm of construction consultants providing cost management, employers agent and MEP cost management to private and corporate clients.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be an MEP Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager with at least five years post graduate experience working as an MEP QS, in the building construction industry.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants or for a main contractor or MEP contractor.

You will need to have a good understanding of all mechanical and electrical services for buildings. (Previous experience of data centres is not required).

You must have worked as a QS from feasibility through project delivery and handover and have excellent experience of estimating costs from fairly brief drawings.

You will be fully conversant with all pre and post contract duties including feasibility studies, cost planning, tender documentation and award, contract administration and all post contract duties.

You will have good overall technical knowledge of construction procedures.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents. No other language is required for this role as the contracts are in English.

You should be from the EU as my client is not able to get work permits.

Salary is likely to be in the range of Euro 75000 to 100000 (possibly a bit more) according to your experience plus discretionary bonus and a good allowance for accommodation will also be provided.
