Purpose of Role: 

Leading internal Capital Project Managers in delivering a range of CapEx projects in varied sectors within Central London and Regional Portfolio, to agreed standards, time and budget. This role will work closely with the Capital Projects Director, with Capital Project Managers, alongside TCE Stakeholders and external framework supply organisations such as Programme Management Office (PMO), Project Managers and other Consultants.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the day to day delivery of CapEx programmes of work within both Central London and Regional Portfolios, adhering to best practice processes and procedures
  • Act as interface between internal Capital Project Managers and Capital Projects Director
  • Lead internal Capital Project Managers, overseeing and evaluating project delivery and supply chain performance
  • Manage the delivery of financial and sustainability programme targets
  • Ensures implementation of required levels of Health & Safety across both Central London and Regional Portfolios
  • Help coordinate CapEx programme with other internal projects/programme of works which may interface
  • Work with internal Capital Project Managers to identify opportunities for CapEx programme to consolidate deliveries and maximise efficiencies
  • Support Capital Projects Director in managing PMO function
  • Ensure internal Capital Project Managers and external Supply Chain are delivering projects utilising the PMO digital platform, adhering to the agreed project delivery process
  • Deliver projects that are high priority, sensitive in nature, high value
    or of a technically complex nature
  • Internal lead in assisting the internal business units with technical business related issues – eg, technical queries, operational disrepair and asset repair
  • Meet regularly with internal Capital Project Managers and Asset Managers to review the CapEx programme and Projects Schedule
  • Manage Programme Risk Register for both Central London and Regional Portfolios
  • Work with internal Capital Project Managers, SBU function and wider TCE group to deliver on purpose, values and business plan
  • Contribute to the programme level phasing of projects including coordination of customer interface, logistics and Façade Stewardship programme
  • Identify necessary resources, estimate project budgets, qualify project scopes and schedules, consolidating information into project plans
  • Develop and execute a communication strategy for all project stakeholders
  • Provide feedback, advice, and encouragement to the internal Capital Project Managers and team members during project execution

Knowledge, Experience and Skills (Essential and desirable):

  • Demonstrable track record of delivering CapEx projects up to the value of £15m across all sectors
  • Experience in managing multiple programme interfaces and logistics of projects in different scale and programme milestones
  • Highly motivated team player, who can also work independently to deliver goals and objectives
  • Previous experience in working within Central London markets. Experience also desirable in delivering projects outside of Central London
  • Experience in delivering high valued and complex projects, requiring strong commercial acumen and market awareness 
  • Proven experience in leading internal teams as a senior lead
  • Construction related experience including relevant technical knowledge and capability, buildability and programme management experience.
  • Proven experience in Project Management, construction management planning, and tracking in a Senior Project Manager or operations lead role
  • Technically capable and in depth knowledge of both design and construction practices
  • Experience with and understanding of full Project lifecycle, from inception to disposal
  • Proficiency with Project Management tools, methodologies, and related technologies
  • Can demonstrate success in leadership, drive results, solve problems, and possess interpersonal skills between internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven expertise and passion in delivering exceptional sustainable methods in projects
