Asset Manager

Peace Recruitment's close client, one of Scotlands leading independent property consultancie's are looking for a results-driven Asset Manager to join their established team in Edinburgh.

My client is looking to appoint a Senior Asset Manager to oversee the management of their diverse portfolio of commercial and residential real estate assets in Scotland.

To be successful as an asset manager you should be strategically minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ultimately, an outstanding asset manager should have a strong commercial background, excellent organizational skills, formidable negotiator and most of all be able to offer a consutlative approach to all client relationships .

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive asset management strategies for the portfolio, including leasing, property management, and capital improvements.
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify any potential issues and oversee maintenance and repair activities.
• Manage tenant relationships, lease negotiations, and lease renewals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including tenants, brokers, and third-party service providers.
• Analyze market trends and conditions to inform investment and divestment decisions.
• Manage financial performance of the portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Work closely with the investment team to identify opportunities for value creation and execute on investment strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to the portfolio.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate or related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• MRICS – Minimum 7 -10 years PQE
• Strong knowledge of commercial and residential real estate markets and trends.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective asset management strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, brokers, and service providers.
• Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
