Quantity Surveyor
Location: SW/ Central London
Salary: £40,000- £50,000 per annum
An established construction company that specialises in basement residential schemes. Their projects consist of Groundworks, steel & RC Frames and are located in South West London with projects in Belgravia, Notting Hill & St Johns Wood as well as surrounding areas. We are looking for an office-based surveyor who will split their time between both site and the office. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for 5 projects and their projects vary in value from £300,000- £7M.
Site Based Quantity Surveyor- Overview
- Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time
- Review tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules
- Undertake cost analysis for cash flow
- Review progress on sites and prepare and amend programme of works
- Analyse work on site with a view to logging, valuing and presenting to client’s variations in contracted works
- Value completed work, oversee bills and arrange payments
- Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
- Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
Site Based Quantity Surveyor- Job requirements:
The ideal candidate must hold a Quantity Surveying Degree and have experience in a variety of tenders. You will also ideally have:
- Experience working for a Main Contractor
- Experience on Structural Residential schemes
- Worked on projects up to £10M
- 3 years post grad experience
