Property/Utility Surveyor

The Company

Smith Tunbridge Ayres are an established firm of Chartered Surveyors operating in the Utility Market.  We have had a surveying presence in Scotland for many years and are now looking to establish a permanent surveyor base.  We have a range of major clients in Scotland across the Electricity Generation, Transmission, and Distribution sectors and advise on property matters across those portfolios.

The Role

Due to continued and forecasted growth in the sector we are looking to recruit a property professional to develop, deliver and manage workloads throughout Scotland.  Main duties will include site inspections, report writing, valuation, negotiating and obtaining new rights for infrastructure, and working closely with clients and their solicitors.

Time will be split between home working, site work, and working from clients or company offices.

The Candidate

Ideally qualified, or working towards MRICS or Assoc RICS.  However, applicants with the right ambition, experience and transferable skills will be considered from different backgrounds and sectors.

Applicants should be willing to travel extensively, show excellent organisational skills, and be self motivated.  They should be capable of working autonomously with limited supervision and thrive in a proactive and rewarding environment.
