Senior Quantity Surveyor / Associate Designate

THE ROLE

I am seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Associate Designate for a successful firm of construction consultants to join them in Derbyshire.

My client is working on a good range of interesting construction projects including hotels, offices, warehousing, vertical farms, private schools, retirement living etc.

They are seeking a candidate who is ambitious with excellent client facing skills who will soon be able to step up to an Associate QS role leading a team etc.

THE COMPANY

My client is a boutique firm of construction consultants providing clients with cost management (quantity surveying) and project management services.

They work on construction projects for new build, extension, refurbishment and fit out.

Projects include hotels, offices, colleges, retirement villages, residential, warehousing, vertical farms and more.

They have several UK offices.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Associate Designate level who is able to work unsupervised.

You will be keen to step into an Associate level role quickly to run a team and become part of the management of this firm of PQS.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants (PQS) or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager.

You will have a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying plus at least five years post graduation or more experience in construction cost management working on high value building projects.

You will also need to be either MRICS qualified or be a senior level PQS by experience (post graduation).

You will be conversant with all pre and post contract duties include feasibility studies, cost planning, tender documentation, contract documentation, value engineering and all post contract quantity surveying duties.

You must have excellent client facing skills and be confident and articulate.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.

Salary is negotiable in the range of £65000 to £75000 per annum plus pension, life assurance, professional fees and discretionary bonus.
