Job Description:

They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Defence Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Scottish team. As a Defence Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive quantity surveying services on defence-related construction projects/frameworks in Scotland and the north of England. Your primary focus will be on managing costs, contracts, and procurement processes, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for defence construction projects. Conduct comprehensive cost analysis, identify potential risks, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures. Manage procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts. Perform cost control and cost management throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring expenditure and assessing variations. Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination. Prepare regular progress reports, financial statements, and final accounts. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

Requirements:

• SC Clearance is essential. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying MRICS status Extensive experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the defence sector or government projects. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management principles, and procurement processes. Proficient in using quantity surveying software, Microsoft Office Suite, NEC contract Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
