SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Our client, a multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy, based in Leeds, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering the commercial aspects of projects including financial reporting, forecasting, procurement, and cost control. They will be expected to manage projects independently and liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Accurately forecast and report on project costs

* Manage and monitor target costs and cost reports

* Manage the procurement process including tendering, negotiating, and awarding contracts

* Assist with the preparation of estimates, cost plans and bills of quantities

* Work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers

* Identify and advise on commercial risks and opportunities

* Mentor and support junior members of staff

Requirements:

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification

* Minimum of 7 years' experience

* MRICS or working towards Chartered status

* Experience in the construction industry and familiar with JCT contracts

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Confident in managing projects independently

* Strong attention to detail

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant industry software
