SALARY: CI$90,000 - CI$125,000 pa (US$109,756.10 - $152,439.02)

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 2 Year Contract

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our busy commercial team. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager – Commercial the postholder will be responsible for all matters related to the commercial management of assigned construction projects

 

 

DO YOU HAVE:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • A MRICS (or equivalent) professional designation
  • A minimum of 10 years’ post qualification experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a lead surveying role
  • Project experience as the lead surveyor in the development and construction of large mixed-use and hotel developments (some valued in excess of US$ 80 million) within a well reputed construction or development organization and ideally in an international environment
  • Experience with On-Screen Take-Off and/or CostX estimating software
  • Excellent mathematical, planning, analytical, negotiation and time management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of contracts management, cost planning, budgeting, and project accounting
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

WE WANT YOU TO: 

  • Manage post-contract commercial functions including supplier and sub-contractor accounts
  • Identify, assess, and manage the commercial risks of projects
  • Lead, prepare and present monthly cost/value forecast reports on the commercial health of projects
  • Lead the change management and final account process
  • Manage and support the development of assigned staff
  • Estimate, plan and analyze costs to establish project budgets
  • Maintain cost statistics on an island-wide and regional basis
  • Research labor, materials and equipment pricing and make cost effective recommendations for assigned projects
  • Maintain professional relations with clients, vendors, suppliers, and external consultants
  • Promote commercial awareness and drive profitability on all assigned projects from inception, through procurement & construction, to final account
