THE ROLE

I am seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join my client, an established firm of PQS in their new Manchester office.

This role will provide an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a new office of a firm offering great prospects.

You will work on construction projects for data centres, residential, and commercial offices doing both pre and post contract quantity surveying duties.

You will be expected to work on the building and local infrastructure as well as getting involved in some M&E work.

You should be able to help the Associate QS to run projects from feasibility to handover and you will need to have gained one year or more post graduation as a Quantity Surveyor or more and be either working towards taking your APC or be recently chartered with the RICS.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management and Project Management services across a range of sectors with projects in the UK and occasionally in the EU.

They have an established office in London and now a new office in Manchester along with associations with other firms further afield.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be working as a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry and have started your diary and working towards taking the APC for full RICS membership or you could have more experience and be up to recently chartered level.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants (PQS) or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry working as a Quantity Surveyor.

You will have a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying which is RICS accredited.

You must have assisted as a QS on projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will be conversant with pre and post contract work.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.

Salary is negotiable according to your level of experience but in the range of £30000 to £50000 plus RICS fees, pension, discretionary bonus etc. Please note that the higher end of the salary is only relevant if you are already MRICS qualified.

Please email a full c.v. or give me, Denise Neville a call for an informal and confidential discussion on 020 7613 5555 or 020 8368 0025 or mobile 07836 350309.
