Are you an Asset Management and Building Safety specialist with previous experience working at AD level?

If so this role could be for you.

Sutton based housing provider are looking for an Associate Director of Asset Management & Building Safety to develop a vision and service model to deliver on behalf of the 6000 tenants, 1300 lease holders as well as the board.

If you secure this role then you will be responsible for the following:

· Working with the Director of Asset Investment and Sustainability to develop a new vision and service model.

·Leading by example, developing a working culture across the service aligned with SHP's values.

· Managing technical teams across asset management, planned works, engineering, building safety and compliance as required, providing support, assistance, mentoring and active performance management.

·Reviewing and developing working systems, practices and procedures in accordance with best practice and current regulations and statutory requirements.

·Working with the Director to ensure clear accountabilities and good governance in reporting and monitoring arrangements across the service.

·Working with the Director and teams to develop and mobilise a 5 year capital programme, developing an approach to procurement that balances the use of large and smaller providers, and supports SHPs commitment to Social Value and sustainability.

·Working with the Director to develop a Resident Engagement Plan for the capital programme, and building safety aligned with the expectations of the Social Housing White Paper.


In order to secure this opportunity you must be able to display/evidence the below at the point of application and interview:

·Significant experience at commensurate level, managing teams delivering major works, asset management and building safety at comparative scale

·Leading and managing change and change in working culture

·Experience of managing and performance managing staff

·Experience of working with and implementing key housing systems e.g. Northgate or comparative systems to analyse data and develop investment programmes.

Experience of working in local government / ALMOs would be an advantage

In return for your hard work and dedication you will be rewarded with an pay rate of £650 - £750. This is an umbrella LTD rate and will be subject to employer and employee deductions.
