Great Yarmouth Borough Council has secured significant funding to deliver its ambitious capital programme and is leading on a number of exciting mixed-use multiple tenure regeneration projects, including North Quay Riverside Gateway linking the railway station to the town centre, the redevelopment of the Market Place including the town centre library and Learning Hub, the reimagining of The Winter Gardens, and a pipeline of other housing, town centre and seafront regeneration projects.
We are looking for an ambitious, motivated, and dynamic individual to lead the commercial, operational asset management, and facilities management teams and help deliver our ambitious programme of work.
Responsible for increasing investment portfolio values, generating revenues, maintaining our estate, and investing proactively in the borough’s future, Property Services are crucial in delivering one of the Council’s key services. Building strong relationships across all our customers and stakeholders, whether they are private, public, voluntary or community and leading in the delivery of the council’s exciting investment agenda.
This role will have responsibility for a varied commercial and residential portfolio of projects and your knowledge and experience must include direct accountability for managing a diverse commercial and operational portfolio of assets including facilities management. You will need an ability to process complex information, deliver against competing deadlines, communicate amongst many internal and external stakeholders, as well as influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills. As well as leading the team, this role will also include developing property management and compliance reporting IT systems, preparing asset management plans, planned maintenance programmes aligned to annual budgeting.
