Building Manager

Your new company
Excellent opportunity to join a leading property consultancy who manage portfolios of commercial and industrial properties on behalf of their clients. You will be joining their successful Property Management department who are responsible for managing portfolios on behalf of various clients across London. You will be joining an organisation who actively encourage career progression and provide ongoing training and support.

Your new role
As the Building Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing an office building with multiple tenants in central Barking. This will include reception desk duties including dealing with visitors, contractors and deliveries. In the event of maintenance issues within the building, you will be responsible for seeking out and identifying any issues and managing the contractors. You will also be involved in general compliance for the property in areas such as asbestos, legionella and fire safety. You will liaise and work closely with tenants to ensure excellent customer service is delivered. As part of the role, you may be asked to cover annual leave for other Building Managers within the East London portfolio and will be invited to attend training courses and social events at the Stratford office. Working hours are 09.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you should have front office experience working in a Building Concierge, Building Manager or similar role. Experience working with office buildings is beneficial, but not essential. You should live within commutable distance of Barking and should have excellent communication skills, as well as being flexible and adaptable.
