Position Overview:
Client-Side Building Surveyor to join the team in London. As a Client-Side Building Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and functionality of the charity's properties and facilities. You will work closely with the team to oversee construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that they are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct surveys and assessments of properties to identify maintenance and repair needs.
  • Manage building projects, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes and manage procurement.
  • Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety of construction and maintenance work.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to support the charity's property management decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, budgets, and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Identify and recommend sustainable and cost-effective solutions for property improvement and maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Building Surveyor.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and regulations.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
