Graduate Building Surveyor - Cheltenham

Your new company
You will join a charitable organisation located in the Cheltenham region who are responsible for the management and maintenance of over 5000 homes and other operational buildings in the region. Your new employer are passionate about providing a high quality landlord service - you will become involved in regeneration activities, providing specific services to support both younger and older people, and helping tenants to find employment within the local community through your building surveying work.


Your new role
You will become a critical and instrumental individual responsible for the delivery of a large insulation retrofit project, initially across 40 homes in the region. As the building surveyor responsible for this project, you will assist with project initiation activities, before taking on a delivery role, robustly managing both the contract and the contractor throughout the delivery phase of this project. You will be able to gain skills in contract administration, contracts management, property and defect inspection, contractor and site management and project delivery, shadowed throughout by a senior building surveyor.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have either a degree or HNC in Building Surveying, either completed or within your final year of study. You'll need to be able to drive, and be present in the Cheltenham region for at least 4 days each week.
