Who we are

A thriving well-established local business, db+PAUL Ltd is a friendly firm providing building surveying and architectural services in Somerset.

We are forward-thinking and proud of our strong local reputation for being both professional and approachable. Our surveying, architectural and admin teams work closely together, with our company values in mind, to give our clients the best possible service.

We aim to be environmentally responsible and incorporate these values into our surveying and architectural work. We keep up to date with the latest technologies and developments in the sector, as well as undertaking regular training on improving the energy efficiency of older buildings (of which we have many in Wells!).

Due to recent instructions and increased work load we are now looking for someone ambitious who shares our core values and is keen to join a dynamic team and perhaps take on a significant role in the business and share in our continued success. Sound like you? Read on…

 Who we’re looking for

Are you an AssocRICS/MRICS/FRICS professional with a passion for providing advice and support on a variety of property related matters to the public and businesses?

We pride ourselves on the quality of our Survey Reports and have a great reputation amongst local clients and estate agents alike. If you are also a registered RICS valuer, this would be very welcome.

Do you have a keen interest in buildings and the development of the built environment?

We want someone who can help encourage and inspire our clients to make their buildings better for the future, by keeping up to date with the latest technologies and having a pragmatic understanding of the complexities of improving the energy efficiency of old/listed buildings.

Do you have ambition?

We are always looking for new ways to grow and improve, and for the right person there is a great opportunity here to branch out and take ownership of one or more areas of the business.

Do you work well in a team?

Being a surveyor can be lonely work sometimes, so we aim to get together regularly to socialise as a team. If you are both an effective lone worker but also enjoy the camaraderie of a small office-based team and the occasional group outing – e.g., local conservation volunteering or industry events (or the pub) – then we are the firm for you!
