Job Title: Interim Building Control Manager
Location: Hertfordshire / Hybrid
Contract: 6-months ongoing
Pay: Inside IR35 - Negotiable
A Hertfordshire Borough are currently recruiting for an Interim Building Control Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Building Control team, providing guidance, support, and direction as needed. Oversee the processing of building regulation applications, ensuring that they are assessed efficiently and in accordance with relevant legislation. Conduct site inspections to assess compliance with building regulations and standards. Provide expert advice and guidance to developers, architects, builders, and other stakeholders on building control matters. Investigate complaints and undertake enforcement action where necessary to address breaches of building regulations. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to building control activities
Qualifications/Experience
- Extensive experience working in Building Control, with a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Sound decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Relevant professional qualifications in Building Control or a related field
