About this job:
FIXED TERM (1 YEAR): 37 Hours per week
SALARY: £36,648 to £39,186 per annum
LOCATION: Tiverton, EX16 6PP
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Property & Commercial Assets team, delivering a wide range of tasks across our corporate and commercial property portfolio. We are looking for a Building Surveyor who is RICS qualified with a wealth of knowledge in the delivery of property related condition surveys across our estate.
As an experienced Building Surveyor, you will:
- Successfully contribute to improvements in the standards of the Councils corporate estate, completing condition surveys, for the Council/Commercial Tenants and stakeholders across the corporate portfolio, and will promote the Councils aims and objectives in the provision of a professional service.
- Deliver surveys that meet the appropriate industry standard which will support lifecycle budgets and maintenance programmes across our Commercial & Corporate assets, and identify options to decarbonise our estate and make it more energy efficient.
- Maintaining customers service levels and satisfaction.
You will have proven experience in the completion of and delivery of compliant condition surveys which encompasses building fabric, plant assets, and external car parks/pathways and advises on climate related improvements to our current building stock. Supporting the budgetary and climate process, working with skilled colleagues in these areas to be able to plan for compliance and the future.
You will also assist skilled colleagues and contractors in their duties as necessary. You will need to be friendly and cooperative with colleagues in a small team for our customers from within the Council and members of the general public.
You will need to be able to travel across the whole district. You will need a suitable driving license.
