Senior Building Surveyor

Carriera is actively seeking a proactive Senior Building Surveyor with a focus on projects, ideally possessing experience in the commercial, industrial, or retail sectors.

Our client is deeply rooted in the private sector, collaborating with a diverse range of entities such as funds, investors, renowned hotels, retail giants, and prestigious landed estates. Their team comprises over 20 dedicated staff, including five partners, supported by a highly skilled and diverse group of building surveyors and project managers.

This role is perfect for a Chartered Building Surveyor who thrives in project-oriented tasks and occasionally provides technical advice to a varied client base, including high-net-worth individuals, investors, tenants, funds, hotels, and retail giants. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of project-related duties such as contract administration, project management, project monitoring, and construction management. Additionally, you'll be involved in services like TDD, building surveys, dilapidations, expert witness testimony, reinstatement cost assessments, and PPMs.

Recent achievements of the company include the successful part-demolition and construction of a new £3 million supermarket. They've also recently overseen the procurement of a design and build boutique hotel, acting as the project appraiser and fund monitor, valued at £7 million.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should hold chartered status via MRICS and possess a degree in building surveying. While direct commercial sector experience is not mandatory, a robust foundation in building surveying along with a fervor for developing a career within the commercial domain is highly valued.

The compensation package includes a competitive basic salary of up to £65,000, accompanied by a bonus structure, a 5% pension contribution, healthcare benefits, season ticket loans, mobile and laptop provisions, coverage for professional fees and subscriptions, and 25 days of annual leave, among other perks.
