Do you live in South Wales and have a long commute? Are you part of a large BS team and not progressing? Do you have the experience and contacts to manage a department?

Role Features:

  • Small independent consultancy.
  • Office based in the City Centre.
  • Successful candidate will be the first Building Surveyor in the business and part of a wider office of 20 staff.
  • Working with a mix of Residential and Commercial buildings.
  • Locally based work.
  • Rare and exciting opportunity in the local market.

So where will you be working and what's in it for you?

  • The company was established 25-years' ago and have an excellent reputation in South Wales and the majority of their work is from repeat business from their loyal client-base.
  • Recently refurbished grade-A office with easy access to local amenities. It also has full modern shower and cycle facilities.
  • Main point of contact for building surveying, therefore an integral part of the business from day one.
  • Interesting spread of work and will not be pigeon-holed in one area, however the business is also happy to support someone who wants specilaise or create their own niche. So, this role would be great for someone who hasn't had the chance to really make a role their own, this is your chance.
  • All instructions are within a 10-mile radius of the office, therefore limited travel.
  • Heavily investing in building surveying services with further plans to expand, so a great opportunity to join the department in its infancy and be part of their exciting journey.

Employee Benefits:

£4,500 car allowance, generous pension contribution, personal bonus scheme, private medical insurance (family cover), RICS subscription fees, 25 days annual leave (+BH) and local parking permit. The hiring manager is happy to consider candidates a different levels, therefore the salary is negotiable depending on the individual.


The ideal candidate will be MRICS, although non-chartered with good experience will be considered from a consultancy, client-side or public sector background.
