The Role:
This role is perfect for a driven individual looking to undertake their APC and is keen on making their mark within Quantity Surveying and within the construction industry. If you are looking to work in a team that will support you and assist you in becoming a fully chartered Quantity Surveyor, then this is the role for you. As the responsibilities need to be tweaked to the following:
The Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Quantity Surveyors with the Business and learning from them.
- Preparing and assisting with estimating and cost planning.
- Measurement and quantification of all design information.
- Preparing tender documentation and reporting.
- Assisting with contract administrator.
- Assisting with cost reporting / procurement reports
- Attending site and assisting with interim valuations and final accounts
- Preparation and analysis of Contract variations.
- Assisting with the control and monitor expenditure against Project budget.
- Support all commercial functions of the project
The requirements:
- Quantity Surveying or similar RICS accredited degree
- Quantity surveying experience would be preferred but not essential.
- Willingness to learn and develop professional capabilities.
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player, eager to learn, proactive nature.
- Committed to passing APC and achieving chartered status.
- Driving licence / able to commute
