Job Details

Leading international consultancy seeks to employ a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Swindon.

If you are an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who aspirations to move into a Quantity Surveyor role or, a Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a fresh challenge then this would be the ideal role for you.

As Quantity Surveyor you will work closely with a supportive manager, who is a qualified RICS mentor, helping to deliver projects across a wide spectrum of infrastructure markets.

Our client, a renowned consultancy operating in the Power Utilities, Utilities, Highways, Nuclear, and Water sectors, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Performing risk, value management, and cost control
  • Advising on procurement strategy
  • Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
  • Allocating work to subcontractors
  • Providing advice on contractual claims
  • Managing project finances and facilitating cost control


Job Requirements:

  • Passionate and proactive approach to work
  • Experience of working on projects in the infrastructure markets (Rail, Highways, Utilities, Nuclear etc)
  • Passionate about quantity surveying and committed to delivering high-quality services
  • Understanding of the tendering process and preparation of bills of quantities
  • Strong analytical skills in cost management and risk analysis
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
